As a professional newborn photographer in Wichita, I'm a little biased when I say that newborn photo sessions are a wonderful way to preserve memories of your little one's early days. OK, I'm more than biased, I LOVE what I do - helping you to capture amazing moments of your brand-new baby that you can cherish for years to come!
However, it's important to do a little bit of preparation before the big day. Here are three tips to help you get ready for your newborn photo session.
#1 - Meet with Your Photographer
That means speaking with me! I love meeting with you before your baby arrives. This will help me understand what you're looking for with your newborn photo session. It also gives you a chance to get to know me, ask me any questions you have, and generally plan for the big day. My job is to help you feel as comfortable as possible.

#2 - Plan the General "Feel" of Your Newborn Photo Shoot
We'll meet to talk about the design or "feel" for your newborn session and what types of images you want me to create. I have a wide range of props and outfits for your little one. Also, I have a lot of choices when it comes to you, the Mama, and what you'd like to wear.

#3 - Your Checklist of What to Bring
When we meet, we'll also discuss what you should bring with you on the big day. During the consultation we will go over what you may want to have on-hand and if there's anything specific like family heirlooms, outfits or costumes, or design ideas. We're also well prepared at the studio to make your session as enjoyable and memorable as possible. We have lots of supplies on-hand. You never know when you might need a new diaper or wipe!
