NEWBORN EXPERIENCE
This photoshoot is all about your little one. They are the center of attention. The props and backgrounds are simple, timeless. Your baby is unique, so in talking with you, I select just the right props to capture the innocence, purity, and simplicity of your little one. We'll use a simple wrap, a cozy blanket, a delicate headband, maybe a tiny stuffed animal or some combination of these to make a one of a kind image of your baby. An image that you will hold onto forever and look back on in future years and feel the joy and wonderment you feel today.
WHEN TO BOOK
If you know your due date, it's not to early to book! I keep some flexibility in my schedule so we can tweak the exact session date based on when your baby arrives. Newborns are best photographed between 5 days and two weeks because at this age they are still sleepy and easily posed.
Booking begins with a phone consult where we go over what style you are looking for, options for your session, and answer any questions you have. Don't worry if you're not sure or don't know what style you may want. That's the whole point of this conversation!
Once your session is booked, we will send you more detailed information on what to bring, what to expect, and of course you are welcome to call anytime if questions arise.
If your baby is already here, please give us a call or send us an email. We like to schedule our sessions well in advance for planning purposes, but we may have an opening available.
YOUR SESSION
Newborn sessions usually run anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. Most of this time is spent with me soothing your baby to sleep. I provide a peaceful, cozy environment, not just for your baby, but for you too! There is so much going on with a newborn that I want you to be able to use this time to relax.
AFTER THE SESSION
I will select the best photos and lightly edit them. Then, we will meet to view your gallery. This is typically a week after your photo session. I'll show you the packages and products that are available and we can talk about how they fit into your home. You will leave this session with your photos on a USB stick and a print release.
